Chandelier earrings

Mitos’ chandelier earrings are at once elegant and opulent with their faceted drops in smoky quarts. 

The crystal prisms attach to a bowen cross in gold or silver also known as St Hans cross. An ancient Scandinavian symbol that invokes the four corners of the earth for protection. The same symmetric shape has been used by pre-colombian civilizations as a representation of the sun and the four seasons in the meaning “earth”.

Elegant bracelet of interlocking rings

Only one bracelet has been included in Mitos' Winter Collection 2010-2011. It is a garland of perfectly round, interlinked rings of polished and oxidated silver in alternating patterns. A design not unlike the coloured paper garlands mass produced by Danish children around Christmas, but infinitely more elegant.

Golden coin necklace

This 90 cm long silver and gold plated coins necklace is part of Mitos new winter collection and a brilliant example of the merger between Latinamerican and Scandinavian traditions for jewellery making.

The delicate chain denotes cool Nordic minimalism, while golden discs recall pre-Columbian cultures where coins were used for ornamental purposes only. The metal has been hammered, heated and cooled several times in accordance with traditional techniques in order to obtain very thin circles with perfect golden hues.
